Heartbeat was the first song I ever wrote and even though it feels like I released it ‘forever ago’ , I still hold this song very dear to my heart.

What is “Heartbeat” about?

“Heartbeat” is about that person or thing that you know you just can’t live without.

Your heartbeat. Your soul. Your battle shield.

It’s about that one muse that will be there for you like “a battle shield” through thick and through thin.

 

How did I write “Heartbeat” ?

One thing I love about writing songs is that they all come from a certain story and place in my mind, but every person can relate each song in their own unique way.

When I wrote “Heartbeat” I was thinking about what music means to me. Like oxygen that I breathe, I feel as if I wouldn’t survive without it.
